Our first day for the Soelling’s family photos was downtown on one of the coldest, windiest days we had so far this year. Our first snow fall was earlier that morning, and oh how I had hoped it would keep on going! It didn’t, and poor little John was just too darn cold. So lucky us – we got TWO days to capture their family – and I couldn’t love it more! Their family + home is beautiful, add Christmas in, and it’s a perfect combination!

This has been a crazy busy season, and I am so grateful for the wonderful people I have worked with this year. Thank you Madison and Johnny for your patience in seeing your pictures, I can’t wait to get the rest to you!

Merry Christmas everyone!

It was a beautiful morning in the Northwest, after days of rain, to be out enjoying the sunshine with the Thompson family! I am so happy to have met them and hung out for a few hours while capturing their family before Sean leaves for deployment in a few months. Thank you guys for trusting me to capture this beautiful time in your lives, I look forward to next time!

There are so many incredibly special elements to this newborn session, including 8 day old Wyatt, who was the star of the day! From handmade blankets and art pieces to adorn his walls, a birthday book with handwritten notes, the most loving parents, and a little brother I’ve watched grow. It’s my favorite thing to see a family time and again, to feel more like friends than strangers and to be welcome and trusted with such precious moments of their lives. I’m never sure I can do full justice to how dramatically incredible newborns, weddings, and families are, but somehow, I seem to manage. And I love every single moment. I could soak in these times day after day and I’m not sure who is walking away with more, them or me.

From Kanaan’s devishly precious grin and energy I simply can’t get enough of, the boys’ very sweet big sister, the way Michael looks at Megan, and their two big dogs that make their house the best kind of home – I’ll be sad when it comes time for this family to make the long trek to Japan. An Army family that will get a one of a kind experience that I can’t wait to hear all about! I’m so thankful for the times I’ve spent with them so far. You can see their first and second family portraits. Kanaan’s 9 month portraits. And here today :). These milestones are really something.

I wish you the very best Tudor family :). Thank you for having me again!
