Ashley and Zach had a beautiful wedding on a perfect summer day. I mean, perfect. From the location to the light, her dress, the party.. it was all a blast! Everything was simple, quick, and went smoothly. The wedding party pitched in when needed, everyone socialized, and once the dancing kicked off – well, those ladies had the best time!

Weddings symbolize the beginning of a journey not only for two people, but for their families too. It couldn’t have been more apparent on this day. I can’t help but smile myself when I see everyone laughing, smiling, talking, dancing, and just happy to be together. It’s one of my favorite events and I’m not sure it gets any better!

Cheers Ashley & Zach! I wish you two the best.

It can be the most ordinary of days. Sometimes it’s a simple idea that sets off a series of events. When that idea leads to Mt Rainier with family and friends for an incredible snow covered hike and watching the sunset, count me in!

MariClaire, John, and I had a blast exploring downtown Tacoma looking for that ArtDeco feel MariClaire is incorporating in their wedding day. As much as I love shooting out in the forests, I was captivated by those city lights! Oh how I loved being able to explore every creative outlet with such a willing and beautiful couple in a city I love. We took a break and enjoyed dinner together, along with my husband, and laughed the night away with our shared offbeat sense of humor. It was too fun!

What I love most about these two is how established they are, both working in education, and having a clear outline for their life together – with that, came just as much ease, comfort, and humor. John ready to please his lovely bride-to-be, and MariClaire could so easy to pull out that so-in-love gaze from John, which I completely adore when capturing a couple – so real and all together stunning!

Our evening ended perfectly with a Pacific Northwest sunset over the Tacoma skyline. Thank you MariClaire and John, I can’t wait for your winter wedding!
