LIZ + ED’S WEDDING | MOUNTAIN HOUSE ON SUNDAY RIVER | PT II

Liz and Ed had a wedding unlike any other I’ve ever done. Take a peek at their Wedding, Part I. Well, actually, that’s not completely true. It was similar to one of the very first ones I did in Washington. The one where the bride became my bridesmaid a few years later when I got married. It was that good. But their story is completely unique, and of course, we were all in Maine for the first time, so that was especially awesome. What was similar is that they did what felt right to them. They didn’t try to fit the mold of what they thought a wedding ought to be. Not that there is anything in the world wrong with that, but it’s refreshing to see two people plan this especially wonderful day completely around who they are and what they love. I learned a lot this day. There was no real schedule, no stress – it was just a really good time shared only with those they love, some pretty flowers, and really good food. I can’t say enough how grateful I felt to be so warmly welcomed. To be given a seat at dinner and toast with them as if we didn’t meet only once before. It was the best and I still hold them close. I actually kinda miss them. So ya know, waiting for them to have babies so I can go to Michigan ;). No rush, though!

Anyhow, Ed and Liz, I hope you’re enjoying your first month as newlyweds. I hope you think back to New England as warmly and fondly as I do (of course you do!). I wish you and your family the very, very best and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you. I hope we meet again.

See their incredible proposal, here.
