Relay for Life 2014

It’s challenging to put into words what this event is like if you’ve never attended. Whether you’re a full participant, volunteer, support for someone, or are just curious, you should find your local Relay for Life event to see what it’s all about. From beginning to end, there are events to keep you motivated and going the full two days. This specific event is based at the Mount Tahoma high school track and field in Tacoma, Wa. It’s been an honor to be an official photographer for the event for the past three years, I look forward to all the beautiful faces and excitement in years to come! From the saddest tears and heartache, to the happiest smiles and biggest laughs – we cover all angles of real life survivors, family members, and super supporters to support cancer research. Hundreds of strangers come together as one big family, loving and encouraging from beginning to end. It’s a time you don’t want to miss!

What they’re about: Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.

The mission: Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.
