Our journey to Moonstone Beach, Morro Bay, Los Osos + Camarillo

Taking Highway 101 from Tacoma to California. There were many stops along the way, some that included the highlight of our trip before our final destination and then ultimately the adventure back home. We made our way to a stomping ground my parents knew decades ago, Moonstone Beach, to one of my favorite places and my childhood home of Morro Bay and Los Osos, then resting in Camarillo for the night and indulging in the much anticipated In-and-Out for dinner. The next day was the first real part of the emotional journey we were on. Stopping at my dad and uncle’s childhood home outside of Camarillo. The house was gone, but the garage my dad worked in as a kid was still standing. You could see the memories flooding his mind, from the trees he climbed and the fruit he picked, he told us of his journey through the acres of property surrounding us. He knew the hills and orchards like the neighborhood streets most people know. Next up is our stop at the orange orchard and then a few unforgettable nights in Sequoia.
